Learning & Development

Training Events

Due to the current COVID 19 pandemic all Blackburn with Darwen, Blackpool and Lancashire CSAP and LSAB Multi Agency face to face safeguarding training has been cancelled until further notice.  Please keep checking back here for further updates.

The partnership have recently launched the first in a series of virtual classroom courses.

What is the difference between a virtual classroom and an e learning course?

The difference is that the virtual classroom course is led by a real tutor and is live. Delegates can ask questions and interact with the tutor and the other delegates. The platform allows for workshops, exercises, polls, videos, audio, documents, tutor webcam and games to be shared with the delegates making the experience immersive and interactive.

Charging policy for face to face and virtual courses

There are no costs incurred to attend if your agency is part of the LSCB or a 3rd sector organisation.  If you are a profit making agency then the LSCB charge £100 per day for course places

Please note that there will be a charge of £100.00 for non-attendance.  This charge is non negotiable and is applied consistently to ensure fairness across agencies.  If the place is cancelled 5 working days (Mon-Fri) before the event or the delegate is replaced on the day, then no charge will be incurred.  If a replacement delegate is a student, please contact lscbtu@lancashire.gov.uk to discuss prior to the course.
